How to attach a GoPro to your DSLR
Everyone keeps asking how do I attach my GoPro to my DSLR. It is pretty simple and you only really need two accessories to make it happen.

Nikon D7100 Preview
Here is a Preview of the NEW Nikon D7100. I think this is a very very strong DX camera with some features that are not even found in the top of the line pro cameras.
Lets take a quick look at some of the important information.
New 24.1 Megapixel CMOS Sensor – We see the progression still going toward more megapixels but the quality keeps getting better. The D4 is only 16 mind you so the RAW files form the D7100 will be larger.
No Anti-Aliasing Filter – Nikon says this means images that will be sharper, more vibrant and contrasty. They say paired with Nikon glass the images will “Explode” with quality. I like this, anythign to give us sharper images is well worth it.
ISO 100-6400 expandable to 25,600 – This means you have a camera that will kick ass in the studio and kick ass in low light situations. I expect the quality of the images to be really good. Let me remind you that HI ISO is in no way a replacement for using better glass.
51 Point Autofocus system – 51 points is a ton of focus points on a DX camera. This means you will be able to select any of the 51 points and use that as your point of focus. I expect this focusing system to be very fast and accurate.
6 FPS – You can shoot 6 frames per second while you hold the shutter down. You know me, im not a fan of spray and pray.
1.3X Crop Mode – This crop mode will allow you to shoot cropped images at 15.4 megapixels at 7 frames per second. In essence you are getting 2x magnification on your lenses. This means a 200mm 2.8 will act more like a 400 2.8 in the crop mode. This mode also crops for video.
2 SD Card Slots – The D7000 had two sd slots and the D7100 continues with two as well. I like the option of being bale to have an extra copy of every image I take just in case one card goes down. I prefer that over having it write photos to one and video to the other.
NEW 3.2 inch Screen – A nice upgrade is the new 3.2 inch LCD screen which has 1.2 million dots. It also looks like this screen sits more flush to the body which makes for a better all around look and fit.

How to Photograph Soccer Tutorial
In this soccer tutorial video you get to join me as I photograph a Saturday morning game. You get to see not just the keeper images but also the ones that may not be so good.
We go over how I got my exposure for the photos as well as what focus mode I was using. At the end of the video we sit back down at the computer to better analyze the images.

Taking Pictures of Kids – Breaking Down A Photo Shoot
How many of you out there think you need the best gear in order to capture amazing images? What I show you in this video is how I photographed a kid in the park with a very basic set up.
I used the entry level Nikon D3100 with 70-300 Zoom Lens and was able to capture what I think are AMAZING Portraits.
What you have to remember is its not the camera that captures amazing pictures its you. I know once you break free of the auto settings you will be able to take your images to the next level.
In this video you will get to see not only the keeper images but the ones that did not make the cut. Better yet we break down those images to help you understand how you can better set your camera to get similar images. I cover focus modes, manual settings, composition and much much more.

How to take better Ice Hockey Photos
When I first started shooting photos ICE Hockey was my main passion. I would sit around my tv with an empty film camera just snapping away at the action as it unfolded on the tv.
Being that the NHL is currently on strike the only ice hockey in town to go photograph is the local minor league team, the Trenton Titans.
I am sure many of you will ask how did I go about getting a photo pass for the game? I simply called the teams front office and they gave the e mail address to the person who I should touch base with. One e mail later I was all set to shoot their opening night. The tips I have for you when you are attempting to get a pass is to make sure you have something to show. If you do not have work to show there would be no reason for them to let you in. Second offer something, in this case I offered to send them photos to use online in exchange for the pass to go out and shoot.
