A guide to "Capturing Motion" in low light situations

AdoramaPix Rapid Fire Critique #012

This weeks Critique brings us this photo story from a day of shooting races on the water. The photographer was shooting with a Canon 40d and 80-400 lens.

Check out his selection of the 10 best images and what my thoughts were on his images and some tips for taking them a few other directions.

Remember what I said in this video. I said if you feel that a creative “crop” will help or save an image than by all means go for it. It is your photo and whatever you think will make it better is up to you. That doesn’t mean that I will crop my own personal work it just means sometimes there are images where a creative crop would save it.

Don’t be afraid to go black and white if the color is pretty subdued. Sometimes going black and white will give your images even more interest than if it were in color.

If you would like to send in your images for the AdoramaPix Rapid Fire Critique send them to FroKnowsPhoto@gmail.com with the subject line AdoramaPix Rapid Fire Critique.
