I watched the water drop video from adorama on YouTube the other day so I wanted to give it a shot. I really want a Marco lens now. These where taken with a d7000 and just the 18-105mm kit lens. I tried the 50mm 1.8g but it just didn't have the range. Even with the 105mm I cropped in a good bit to get the look I wanted. I used an yn560 flash with a cheap lights trigger and receiver. Most of the shots were at f/20 and 1/250" iso 100. All edited in LR3. The last is my favorite of the set reminds me of beach balls. Its my first try let me know how to improve.

Coool. I saw Mark Wallace(Adorama) doing it in his Youtube channel. I was wondering what alternative i should go for the Rain-x he used. I live in Dubai. Im not sure if its even available here.

OMG! I was doing the same thing yesterday with a shower, no reflections but it looks pretty cool, fun too.

This is what I got, 18-55 - D3100 - built in flash.

These are awesome. The first one is my favorite. Could you point me in the direction of the video you were talking about? Or at least tell me how you did this.
