SINAI Band Photo SHOOT Part 1

It is Super Secret Project Friday and this is a two day post Todays post will show you the final results from a recent photo shoot with SINAI. Tomorrow you will see a 25 min behind the scenes look at the photo shoot. In the video that Greg shot you will hear me interacting and directing the band. You will get to see the making of the photo shoot with the images cut right in as they were taken.

I was approached by the members of SINAI who asked me to photograph their very first band photo. It is always a challenge to come up with a unique way to take band photos. Band photos tend to all look pretty similar so Greg and I wanted to create something simple but slightly different in our lighting set up. The result was a lighting set up that worked not just for the full band shots but for the individuals as well.

You will see in some of the photos you can see some of the studio lights and where the background ends. When doing studio shoots sometimes you have to compromise to get the framing that will be usable for CD covers or other promotional materials.

All images were shot with the Nikon D3s and Nikon 70-200 2.8 VR II. Not cropped SHOT RAW.

Sit back for the next few minuets, enjoy the photos and music from SINAI
