I think the biggest reason why I sit through these videos is despite the fact that I my know the information that you’re running through, you make the videos entertaining so I don’t really mind re-listening to the information. Keep up the great vids man.
time for bed after starting at 6am on the site to get it ready
Your blog/website really is reigniting my excitement for photography. Even though I’ve learned a lot of things you talk about in the past, your passion for photography – getting it right in the frame – creating really tight images is inspiring! please keep it up! Also, I really value your reviews of lenses like the sigma 70-200mm f2.8 and the thinktank – I mean those are some practical questions I had.
Anyway, great job and I look forward to reading and watching more!
thanks very much for the kind words!!!
Liking your new site Jared, I’m very excited to see what comes in all the future videos and tutorials and can’t wait to learn more from the D3000 project….
thanks man, hows the new camera?
Finally the secret is out! Good timing too as i’ve just taken delivery of my nice new D3000. Looking forward to learning
I haven’t been able to use it yet as i haven’t got a lens! Was going to buy a 35mm 1.8 but think i’m gonna hold out till pay day and get the sigma 18-50 2.8
So frustrating having it but not being able to take a pic… Bring on payday. The sites looking good by the way Jared. Keep up the good work.
Man, i really like you (in an heterosexual way LOL for sure). so cool to see you special telling the basics about photography. i just started as well and it really helped
“fill the frame”

good on you and big greets from germany.

(unfortunatly, its not that easy to get some thinktanks here in europe though..)
Thanks for the inspiration…and silliness. I’m looking forward to the journey…to wherever!
Thanks for the vid “JP”. It was really Cool and entertaining. I’ll be having my Nikon d3000 maybe this week, it is a present from my uncle in Chicago. I’m very awed about your passion for your craft (photography) continue sharing your knowledge.
God Speed bro!:)
thanks!!!! enjoy the camera, im here if you have any questions
Hey Jared , I’ve just got the D3000 and have been surfing the net for advise and have come across a few reviews claiming this is the worst nikon dslr ever made. I’m glad to find your project as my confidence is starting to drop with this camera? What’s your view on this compared to say other budget dslr.
Scott, so many people over analyze equipment instead of just shooting. They also forget that the lenses are the major reasons why there images may be bad. Than they turn around and blame the camera for not doing what they think it should be doing.
I have shown that the d3000 is a very capable camera and will continue to prove that fact.
Drop me an mail if you have further questions and I will be pee than happy to help you out.
Cheers Jared , I’ve been out all day shooting and i’m in the process of editing in lightroom2. For myself as a beginner, the quality of these pics , with a few tricks off your goodself are the best i’ve ever done.
I’m really stoked! cheers again.
Amazing portfolio by the way!
