Panasonic CHALLENGES Nikon, Sony, Canon with 2 FULL FRAME Mirrorless Cameras | S1 and S1R Preview
Panasonic today announced the development of two FULL FRAME mirrorless cameras, the S1 and S1R. The S1 is a 24 megapixel camera with the S1R coming in at 47. This looks like an almost exact copy of what Nikon is doing with the Z6 and Z7 and what Sony has done with the A7III and A7R III.
Keep in mind this is just a development announcement and there weren’t a ton of specs announced. They said they hope to have the system out in early 2019.
Questions: How will the autofocus be? Who’s sensor is in the camera, did Sony make it? Will the lenses be super expensive? Will Sigma glass work well? How much will it be?
