I had a great discussion with Pierre Bourgault of Montreal about his dusk photograph that he captured. We covered everything from the equipment he used to the lenses he would like to own in the future. I really enjoy having conversations with you guys so feel free to skype call me anytime to talk about photography.

Jared, you are great to read and even funner to chat with. Thanks for taking the time. Now I’ll go crawl back into my igloo =)
@Pierre, if you decide to stay with the Canon 7D and not upgrade to FF, look into the Canon 17-55 f2.8 USM IS. It’s an AMAZING lens…
Thanks for the tip Jason! I should be going FF in the next few years. Just got the 7D, so budget says it will be with me until end of 2011 probably. But I’m planning on the 24-70, which is a similar focal range on FF than the 17-55 on a crop. Rumors are still saying that the 24-70 is getting upgraded very soon… so either I get the upgrade or I get the older one cheaper hehe
Great picture. Montreal is a beautiful and wonderful city.
Hey man great picture!!… where did you take your metering?? bye!!
Thanks! Paclis, not sure what you mean about the metering. I was probably in Evaluative metering as I wanted the whole scene to be considered and not just a small portion (ie spot metering)
