From My Bookshelf #002 - Mathew Brady

Here is another installment of From My Book Shelf. This week I have a great book of Mathew Brady’s work that talks about his early career and how and why he photographed the Civil War.

One of the reason I purchased this book a few years ago was the size. I love seeing the historic images that are inside and thinking how in the world did they capture these over 150 years ago. The quality of the images are amazing considering the type of equipment they had at the time.
