HUGE Change announced by Instagram

Today Instagram has made a huge change via an update to their photo app. Version 7.5 now brings the ability to crop your images into portrait or landscape mode right inside that app with a touch of the button. This is a huge change considering Instagram has always stuck to the 1:1 square ratio for their images.

I personally like this as it cuts down on me having to open a third party app, shrink the image, save the image then import it into instagram. The new function works both for photos and video.

I am sure some people will be upset that Square is not the only option but Instagram found out that 1 in 5 images posted were not posted as squares.

What do you guys think about this change? Personally I like it because it will save me time from having to go to another app.
