I know it sounds simple but a good step-stool really comes in handy for photographers in many situations.

First: it’s something to give you some extra height when you want to get to eye-level or above a subjects eye-level

Second: it lets you sit down and a really good shooting height or to simply take a load off.

Third: If you’re at an event and need to get above the crowd to get your shot you can.
