A guide to "Capturing Motion" in low light situations

Drones Cleared For Commercial Use

The FAA today has announced new rules and regulations around the commercial use of Drones. This is huge news for anyone out there who legally was unable to make money with their drone unless they had a 333 expedition which meant you needed a pilots license.

This is all about to change thanks to the new rules that will be going into effect shortly. You can read a summery of the rules right here.

Here are my main takeaways.

No 333 Exemption Needed
Take a test to be certified for 24 months.
DRONE must weight less than 55 pounds
Must be visual in line of site
400 feet max altitude
Daylight flying only
Maximum ground speed of 100 miles and hour
Must not fly over any person not directly participating in the flight.
