Basic Flash Portrait Photography Tips
What is the best way to setup your flash for portraits? Watch my video to find out! I go over a number of my photographs and how I created them.
When I am using flash in an outdoor portrait I never want it to look like I used a flash. The first step is to get your flash off camera with a cable or wireless remote system. When your flash is on camera your photos are very limited. The best you can do is bouncing the flash off of a wall or ceiling and when outdoors that’s kinda tough. You will need a stand if you don’t have a Gizzy and even then Gizzy appreciates not having to hold the flash all day long.
In the upcoming series of videos I will be going over each of the steps to creating great outdoor and studio portraits with flash. There is a lot more info on flash photography coming…stay tuned!
