Look what Postman FRO brought: Sennheiser G3 Wireless Microphones

I am always on the lookout for Postman FRO and what he will bring me next. This time around he brought the Sennheiser G3 Wireless Microphone Set.

As many of you guys know, I have been using the Sony UWP wireless microphones for close to five years now. They have served me very well but there are some minor and major reasons why I am in the process of making the switch to the G3’s.

One is that they have a much cleaner “pre-amp” built into them. This means you will get a much cleaner signal to your camera all while bringing your levels down. The lower the levels the cleaner the audio will be. For example I know from the forthcoming full review that we set the in camera levels to 3 for the sennheiser and 6 for the Sonys.

I did complete a full review and comparison between the Sennheiser and Sony which we will be posting in the not to distant future. I took a real good look and listen to both of them to point out the differences and why I ended up making the switch.
