Yesterday Sigma raised the price of the 70-200 2.8II by $150 to $949. That did not make me to happy as I know a lot of you guys have been saving up to pick up this lens that I recommend. As we all know prices of everything are going up and the same thing happened recently with Nikon and Canon so it is what it is.
But there is good news!!!! I spoke with Allen right after the price hike and he was able to talk Sigma into selling him 50+ 70-200 2.8II lenses at the old price. That means he will still honor the old price of $799.99 plus shipping as long as you ask for the FroPrice when you call 215.547.2841.
I know a lot of you guys have been trying to save up for this lens. If you can still find it anywhere for 799.99 this may be the last chance to save yourself some money when making the jump.

This is a bollocks! in UK new sigma 70-200mm mk II cost in general shops $1130 and you can get it from online store for $950 so, we laredy getting this lenses for a prat price. If the price here will go up I will s…t! in the middle of the road becouse of my flustartion lol!!! Good job Sigma!

The price aggragators I use are not showing any spikes in prices in Canada or in the EU (I don’t have anything for the UK) since the US price increase. From the looks of it the US price increase is just putting the price closer to everyone else due to the expected weak US$ over the next year.
