I little while back I asked Gavin Hoey a master in photoshop if he wanted to play with my Matisyahu Raw file and see what he came up with. (http://www.gavtrain.com/)

Here is a video screen flow of every step he took to get to his final image which is posted below.

This experiment shows you that each person will edit a picture in a different way as they see fit. It is almost like when you do a job for a client, turn over the files and they take your image in a different direction.

You may not always agree with the edits that someone else does but other times it opens your eyes to the possibilities that are out there.
