The big question in the world of Nikon right now is which camera should you buy, the Nikon D850 or the Nikon D5. Lets first start off by saying these are Nikon’s two most expensive offerings.

The way I look at it is the D850 is a solid wedding, portrait, landscape, nature and even sports camera though the files are super huge. It’s a well rounded camera that gives you amazing still and video capabilities.

On the flip side the D5 is a flat out beast of a camera from build quality to speed to low light shooting. I love it for concerts, sports, portraits and pretty much anything I want to shoot.

I do have access to both cameras but my go to is the Nikon D5. But a lot of this comes down to money. Can you afford to drop double the price of a D850 on a D5?

At the end of the day you will not go wrong with either of the bodies.
