After selling out the very FIRST FroKnowsPhoto Beginner/Intermediate Boot Camp in three days, I got a ton of messages asking about future events. I am happy to announce the next TWO Boot Camps, including another installment of the Beginner/Intermediate session and the very first Basic Flash Boot Camp.
The Basic Flash Boot Camp will be held on Saturday, June 16th, in Philadelphia PA and I’ll have Adam Lerner on hand to help me teach the class.
The second Beginner/Intermediate Boot Camp will be on Sunday, June 24th in Philadelphia PA. Adam will be joining me on that date as well.
With Adam’s involvement, you’ll be studying with two full-time professional photographers. It is important to me to create a very intimate learning environment for this event, with as much personal attention as possible, so therefore attendance is limited to the first 20 photographers who sign up for this experience.
A major-focus for the 8+ hour Boot Camps is hands-on learning; I feel the best way to understand photography is to LEARN BY DOING so that you see what goes into capturing a great image.
Please read the detailed information about the Basic Flash Boot Camp and Beginner/Intermediate Boot Camp below.

Are you looking to fully understand how to set your flash and get killer photos using off-camera lighting? During the Basic Flash Boot Camp, you will learn how to set your flash manually and capture stunning results in real-world shooting environments.
This action-packed Boot Camp starts with the very basics and works its way from the myths of using a flash to how to turn any location (even a parking lot) into a studio. Do you know what a light modifier is and how it can help you shape light? You will after this Boot Camp! Have you ever wondered how to turn a white wall background into a black wall background? You will learn this and much more when you join us for the Basic Flash Boot Camp.
I know some of you may be a little afraid or overwhelmed when it comes to learning flash…you definitely are not alone. With this intimate learning experience, you will get plenty of attention and one-on-one time with me and Adam.

Beginner/Intermediate Boot Camp Info Sunday June 24th 2012
Everything starts with mentality and training yourself to see the world as if it’s a photo waiting to be captured. We are going to discuss the mentality of photographers and what goes into making great photos. What you take away from this Boot Camp will help you on the path to capturing the images you have always envisioned.
Understanding exposure and the exposure triangle is equally as important as a photographer’s mentality. I am going to break down each part of the triangle from Shutter Speed to Aperture to ISO and show you their importance and impact on each other. I have a very exciting demonstration planned, which will allow you to see the triangle at work.
How many of you have had issues with freezing motion, blowing out the background or shooting in low light situations? Are you trying to figure out when to use specific metering and focusing modes? Using carefully planned photo shoots throughout the day, we will LEARN BY DOING in a slew of common photography situations.
Finally, you and your questions will help make this Boot Camp experience even better. We will encourage your questions throughout the day and will not conclude the event until we’ve helped you arrive at an answer.
Each Boot Camp experience costs $379, which includes the entire day of instruction with breakfast, lunch and dinner. To register for the event, please click the button below that corresponds to the desired Boot Camp date. Remember space is limited to only 20 participants per date and spots are going to go fast.
I am looking forward to spending an entire day teaching and learning with you. If you have any questions about the June 16th or 24th Boot Camp, please check out the FAQ section below. If you do not see an answer to your question feel free to e mail me at jared (at) froknowsphoto.com.
