Nikon SB-910 Unboxing and Sniff Test

I got my hands on the brand new Nikon SB-910 to do an unboxing and sniff test. This is not a review of this product but just an unboxing and a quick hands on.

Here is the information I posted when this flash was announced.

Nikon has just announced the brand new SB-910 flash which replaces the SB-900. Almost since day one of the SB900 photographers were having major overheating issues. The SB-910 is supposed to solve that ongoing issue by not allowing the flash to keep firing while it is getting hotter and hotter.

Are you going to upgrade to the SB-910?

Other minor issues have been made the GUI as well as now including hard gels instead of the much thiner material from the previous model.

In all honesty this is just an update to the SB-900 which had some issues. As long as this update fixes the issue this is going to be another amazing flash. This is also a very expensive flash, you could have a studio strobe for slightly less money. What you are paying for here is portability and the added wireless features.

The SB-910 is due out in mid December for $549.95 and you can always pick one up at AllensCamera.com
