This is our first on location show and it is from Allen’s Camera and Video 215.547.2841.
This show we talk about my night at the flyers game, what the Hebrew Trinity is for FX DX, Nikon and Canon as well as how to take care and clean your camera. The guest of honor this week was none other than Allen himself.
We really enjoyed being able to do the show from Allen’s, there is nothing like having access to all that great gear to help all the readers.
At the very end of this show I released the FroKnowsPhoto Song via youtube so stay tuned. You can download the MP3 for FREE right here of the FroKnowsPhoto Song

Not in HD this week? only showing as 480p on youtube?
Mmm) I think fix lenses are so cool and i will never ever change them to Zooms.
I used to have 70-200, i sold it and bought 50mm – and i’m fine.
Lots of useful information!
Hi Jared. thank you for your web site and help.
I have a question:
. Now I want to buy fix lens, as you said in your show 35 f1.8 af-s will be good choice for low end cameras. I didn’t understand about 50 1.4 AFD. So the question is, if I am D7000 owner, which one will be best for me 35 f1.8 DX AF-s or 50 f1.4 AFD?
Recently I bought D7000 and 18-200 VR2 lens. But at that time I didn’t know about “trinity”
Thanks in advance,
Sincerely,
JIM
Hi. Are you going to answer? I thought you will help me…
The shows are getting better and more organized. Thank you Jared for not interrupting Greg as much as you normally do! I like the guests segments as well. A different opinion/perspective is always appreciated!
The D800 is coming…see NikonRumors.com. 16.2 MP FX!
FANTASTIC! I enjoyed the show very much! I will be watching for more from Allen’s Camera Shop!
Just a note, Greg mentions that you should try and fit your lens hoods inside your bag, just a clarification for others (as I am sure you know this) you can fit the lens hood reversed on most lenses (at least that is the case with all of the 5 newer lenses that I own) so you will not need any additional space in your bag for the lens hood.
Just a few notes on the show:
1) Greg is coming into his own – he’s going to steal Fro’s thunder, you heard it here first.
2) 70-200 is horrible for street photography. In the streets, you want to be up close and personal. 28mm on a crop camera is best, or 35-50 on full-frame.
3) The song is awesome.
I love the new intro song!! Who’s the artist here?
MY GOD JARED!!!how big is greg(no fat joke LOL) i have a 200-400mm F4 as you know it looks like a 70-200mm in gregs hands….
First off I Like the show guys, excellent content with episode 4! Secondly, I’d suggest putting a microphone on Allen / anyone else off camera, if your going to converse with them, its annoying to only hear your half of the conversation. Other than that keep up the work, I’m looking forward to #5.
Actual product skus maybe, I cannot make out the 70-200mm box for the canon (and its upsidedown) for example and there are a bunch. Might be obvious to pros.
